PresLink Visits Mount St Joseph

Students raise funds for Brothers' missions

Students from PresLink, a student group from Presentation Brothers College, Cork, visited Mount St Joseph this week.

PresLink is a student group at the College which seeks ways to strengthen the link between the school and the Brothers.

This year the students have raised significant funds for the Brothers' missions in the developing world.

During their visit the students presented Congregation Leader, Br Martin Kenneally, with a cheque for the Brothers' work in Ghana and Nigeria.

PresLink is co-ordinated by a committee of 4th Year Students but seeks to involve the entire school community in activities during the year. While the fundraising is important, Preslink also seeks to educate about the developing world, the mission of Edmund Rice and a sense of being part of a wider Presentation Family.

The students were accompanied on their visit by Principal, Mr Michael Hennessy and staff members; Aelin O'Donoghue, Therese Kenneally, and Enda O'Reagan. Other staff involved include Sharon Gillane, Eleanor Walsh, and Liam Lynch, School Chaplain.
