The Information and Support Unit (ISU) at Mount Sion in Waterford has published its Annual Report for 2011. The Director of the ISU, Br Kevin Mascarenhas, notes that "the activities of the Integration and Support Unit continued to grow significantly in 2011. We registered 171 new adult clients and witnessed a number of emerging communities such as women seeking supports towards self-employment, a number of undocumented workers seeking to legitimise their status and increasing numbers of unaccompanied and aged out minors.

"We continue to tackle areas of inequality, disadvantage and poverty for the most vulnerable in our society. We look forward to continuing our role as Lead Agency in Waterford in providing supports to Refugees, Asylum Seekers and other Marginalised Immigrants for the foreseeable future notwithstanding the challenging economic circumstances currently facing all NGOs."
