Anne Barry-Murphy is Director of the Edmund Rice Office and Co-Ordinator of Associates of the Presentation Brothers. She is a graduate of UCC with an MA in Irish History while she also holds a Baccalaureate in Divinity.
Anne has worked as College Chaplain in Third Level Institutes in England and Ireland and was also the Director of a Centre for Adult Learning in Ballymun. In the Marino Institute of Education Anne co-ordinated a faith-based social outreach programme, The Edmund Rice Awards, for Christian Brothers schools in Ireland.
Anne took up her present position in 2002.
Anne has responsibility for
- Co-ordinating and developing the Associates of the Presentation Brothers. The Associates are a worldwide movement within the Presentation Family
- Networking with the lay movements within the Presentation Family in the Anglo-Irish Province and organizing the annual Presentation Family Conference
- Co-ordinating the Edmund Rice Awards within Primary Schools in the Presentation network of schools
- Co-ordinating the Edmund Rice Awards within the Secondary Schools in the Presentation network of schools and linking with the Christian Brothers schools
- Working with the Education Office in developing faith, peace and justice initiatives in our schools
- Networking with the Christian Brothers Edmund Rice Offices
The Edmund Rice Office is located in the Edmund Rice Heritage and Study Centre in the Mardyke House in Cork city.
