Edmund Rice Week to run at Mt Sion

The Brothers at Mount Sion, Barrack St, in Waterford city have organised four evenings of prayer, as part of their Edmund Rice Week celebrations, beginning on the Memorial of Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice on Tuesday, 5th May.
Recently ordained Bishop of Waterford, Most Rev. Alphonsus Cullinan, will celebrate a public Mass at 8pm on Tuesday, 5th May, at the tomb of Blessed Edmund. The Edmund Rice Choral and Musical Society will provide music for the liturgy.
The following night, Wednesday, 6th May, a prayer service at 8pm will be animated by representatives of the Waterford Edmund Rice Camps.
Another public Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 7th May, by Fr John Treacy C.C.
Br Paul Hendrick, cfc, will also speak at this gathering and the Ballybricken Parish Choir, under the direction of Mai McGrath, will sing at the Mass.
On the final evening, Friday, 8th May, a Taizé Evening Prayer ceremony will take place at 8pm featuring the Island of Ireland Peace Choir and the High Hopes Choir.
