'Figuring out Francis' with the Presentation Brothers in Dublin

Date: 10 Mar 2014

Mondays at the Monastery is back! Our Mondays at the Monastery series takes place at our house in Dublin. Google Map here.

Two dates have been announced for Lent 2014 with the theme, "Figuring Out Francis".

Part I: 7.30pm, Monday 31st March 2014: "Who was St Francis?"
The enduring popularity of St Francis was confirmed last year with our new Pope's choice of name. But why is St Francis such a significant figure? How much do we know about him? What is myth and what is fact? And how does his life explain the remarkable first year of the papacy of Pope Francis? Fr Adrian Curran, a Capuchin Franciscan, will offer us some thoughts.

Part II: 7.30pm, Monday 7th April 2014: "Who is Pope Francis?"
Pope Francis has caught the world's imagination and now, one year into the new pontificate, Fr Michael Collins (author and broadcaster) examines and explores this already remarkable Papacy.

As before, talks take place at the Presentation Brothers house, Glasthule, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

The Brothers' house is directly across the road from St Joseph's Parish Church in Glasthule. It is a one minute walk from the Sandycove/Glasthule DART station.

All welcome!
