Thirty-four Brothers from our West Africa Province have gathered at the Our Lady of Africa Formation House in Navrongo in northern Ghana for their annual General Assembly. This year's assembly also included a workshop facilitated by the Congregation Leader of the Presentation Brothers, Br Martin Kenneally.

The topic for the week-long workshop has been “Following Jesus Again for the First Time”.

"Everyone was eager to hear Brother Martin," explains Brother Emmanuel Imoru, Province Secretary. "He started with the four essential elements of the Christian life: Baptism, Bible, Eucharist and Prayer. He took time to delve deep into each of these topics. We were given questions to reflect on and there was also time for group sharing around the various themes.

"Discipleship was our theme on one of the days. Br Martin challenged us to demonstrate our commitment and dedication to the religious vows we profess. He said the call of a Brother is personal and prophetic.

"The workshop finished with a session on Pope Francis and the life of St Therese of Lisieux. St Therese spoke of the Christian life as surrender and gratitude - two guidelines for us all!"
