Associates in Grenada plan prison ministry outreach

Date: 24 Mar 2015

The Presentation Associates in Grenada have decided to focus their efforts on prison ministry at Richmond Hill Prison in the capital city, St George's, after their monthly meeting last week.

Presentation Associate, Beverley Steele, sends this update:

Sixteen members of the Presentation Family in Grenada met last week Wednesday (March 18, 2015) at the Pitt’s Home, the Botanic Gardens, St. George’s. It was the first time we had met there, and we all were wonderstruck at the beautiful view they have of Tanteen and beyond.

The meeting was chaired by John Pitt. After the Rosary was said, there was a discussion on the way forward for the Associates. It was agreed that we would concentrate on the Prison Ministry, and try to begin one at the Mental Hospital. Br Robert was especially eager for the Associates to identify persons who could give short courses to the prisoners in art or music. Congratulations were offered to the Yohan and his wife who are expecting their first child. God Speed and Best Wishes were offered to Peter, who is leaving Grenada for awhile.

After the meeting, we partook of the products of John’s culinary skills, which produced the most delightful hors d’oeuvres.

Our next meeting is carded for 15th April. The venue is the Brothers’ Residence, but the host will be Jenner James
